Welcome to English Flowers

Enjoy the delicate beauty of the English environment as it changes through the seasons. We place pictures of new wild flowers on this site each week through the year as they come into bloom – flowers selected for their loveliness and colour. The pictures are works of art, not botanical specimens, showing the purity of English wild flowers. As an English Flowers member you will receive your own high quality digital image of what’s in flower in England each week and have access to our huge archive of exquisite wildflower pictures.

Pennycress, Strawberry, Ramsons and Fumitory

8 May 2008. A rather educational exercise in flower diversity this week: these small white flowers are all out at the moment – similar in size but from three different habitats (salt marsh, hedge-bank and damp woodland), and with four, five and six petals. The Fumitory is there to provide a bit of colour.
